We are not sure how good our members at PinoyJokes.net are when it comes to selecting the winner of a fight. But it looks like it’s Pacquiao to win by a KO in his forthcoming LV fight with Miguel Cotto this coming Saturday evening 14 November (Sunday, 15 November in Australia and the Philippines).

That’s what 63% of those who voted say anyway.

First we ran a mini-poll. The poll showed that 75% of the respondents voted Pacquiao to win. Then we asked them, how? So far, 63% said by a knockout (Poll result as at 1:15pm, 12 Nov 2009 AEST). We will close the poll by Sunday morning, 15 Nov AEST few hours before the fight.

We want Pacquiao but it will be interesting to watch for the results.

We are testing a new comment rating system at Jokes n Blogs. To those who frequent social networking sites, this comments rating should look familiar.

If a member or visitor likes (or agrees with) the comment, he/she gives the comment a thumb up. Otherwise, he/she gives it a thumb down. A comment with “thumbs down” more than “thumbs up” means that Pinoy jokers generally did not like the comment and should therefore be hidden from public view.

We have introduced polls in our Jokes & Blogs site. We started with the forthcoming fight between Manny Pacquiao and Miguel Cotto – where 75% of Pinoy jokers voted that Pacquiao will win.

We finally got into re-skinning the Jokes & Blogs section. Nothing wrong with the previous theme but we thought we give the site a makeover with a 3-column theme and content being in the center.

The left sidebar has the links to Recent Posts, Recent Comments and other interactive links. The right sidebar displays links to Funcards, Top Rated Jokes and the usual blogroll.

Like the framework we are using for the main homepage of PINOYJOKES.NET (which is now a portal site for Pinoy-related sites operated by emanila / Compucentric), Jokes & Blogs is XHTML validated.

We are looking for enterprising Pinoy jokers to help us maintain PINOYJOKES.MOBI and COOLTEXT.ORG, members of the PinoyJokes.net group. The work involves reviewing post uploads by site users. Training to be provided.

Normally, we do not include information on a serious topic like migration and temporary visa 457 in PINOYJOKES.
